So, I'm doing the current Mystery Shawl Along at Goddess Knits and I'm having a really hard time starting it. It's a circular one that starts in the middle and I've only used DPN 3 times before this. So, I post a message to the group and see if anyone had any tips. Sure enough, I received quite a few replies. The one that sounded crazy enough to work is the suggestion that I attempted first. Use toothpicks! The mess to the left is what I got doing 4 rounds. It looks terrible but, hey no one will have the exact same one! LOL It actually looks pretty darn good in "real life".
